We are one of the few self-serve car washes remaining in the area that also features completely touchless automatic washes. We provide affordable yet high-quality car wash options and are open 24-hours for your convenience. We pride ourselves in our family-owned mentality of treating every customer like family and consistently provide excellent customer service. COMPANY HISTORY

With almost 50 years of history under our belts, we have a lot of fun facts and stories to share.

1965

Jack Lyon and son-in-law Eddie Miller came up with the idea to develop of 25 cent self-service car wash.

1995

Dean Lyon, Jack Lyon’s son, added the first touchless automatic car wash to the Darien location.

1967

L&M Car Wash saw it’s opening day in October, featuring four self-service bays consisting of high-pressure wash, soap and wax.

2005

Lyon Car Wash’s second location in Yorkville, was opened.

1969

City of Darien was officially established, and by this time, L&M Car Wash had already outgrown it’s four bays and added two more.

2017

Lyon Car Wash begins its 50th anniversary year long celebration.
